Soundview Little League will play for the Northwest Region championship for Majors age 10-12 baseball teams after dealing Oregon an 8-2 semifinal defeat Wednesday afternoon.
The team from Northeast Tacoma, Browns Point and other parts of the city representing Washington state will play the Idaho state champions with everything on the line at 6 p.m. Thursday in San Bernardino, Calif.
Soundview also defeated Oregon by a 5-3 score in its opener last Saturday before falling to Idaho in a 9-2 first semifinal Tuesday.
