Soundview topped the Texas and Southwest Region champions by a 4-3 score in its second Little League World Series game Friday.
The Washington state and Northwest Region championship team from Northeast Tacoma, Browns Point and other parts of the city and University Place blanked Southeast champion Alabama in its opener two days earlier.
Soundview stays in Williamsport, Penn. to play its third game Sunday at a time to be announced.
The team started off its all-star tournament road by winning the District 10 tournament played at the Federal Way National complex.
