Boys basketball

Federal Way 64, Prairie 53

Federal Way advances to the District 3/4 Class 3A tournament semifinals with Friday's second round win over Prairie.

The Eagles journey to Mount Tahoma in Tacoma to play the Lincoln Abes of Tacoma at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Todd Beamer 77, Evergreen 61

Todd Beamer topped Evergreen of Vancouver in Friday night action to stay alive in the same District 3/4 Class 3A tournament.

The Titans host Timberline at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Federal Way 64, Silas 50

The Eagles opened the tournament by posting a win over Silas of Tacoma this past Wednesday.

Gig Harbor 70, Todd Beamer 65

The Tides rolled past the Titans in Wednesday's opener.

Girls basketball

Decatur 38, Auburn Mountainview 26

The Gators knocked off the Lions in Saturday action on Auburn's east hill to make the District 3/4 Class 3A girls semifinals.

They came into the tournament as the No. 14 seed.

Decatur hits the road to Mount Tahoma for 6 p.m. Wednesday action against White River.

Kelso 46, TJ 40

Thomas Jefferson was edged out of the District 3/4 Class 3A tournament in a game played Saturday at Kelso.

Gig Harbor 65, Federal Way 42

The Eagles' season ended with Saturday's loss at Gig Harbor.

Mountain View 59, TJ 39

Thomas Jefferson travelled to the Vancouver area Friday and took a tournament opening loss.

North Thurston 79, Federal Way 16

Federal Way absorbed a lopsided loss in Lacey last Thursday to open tournament play.

Decatur 44, Bellarmine 41

Decatur came away from the Bellarmine gymnasium with a narrow win Wednesday.
