Lyla Yesiltepe of Thomas Jefferson saw two days of action in state high school girls golf tournament play, while teammate Brandon Bao and Emmanuel Rocha of Federal Way only got in on one day of state boys action.
Yesiltepe shot a round of 95 to tie for 56th place on the first day of Class 3A competition at The Woodlands Hawks Prairie course in Lacey, but lowered her score by two strokes the second day to 93 to finish in a tie for 48th place with her total of 188.
Bao tied for 73rd with a round of 84 on the first day of state Class 3A boys play at the Indian Summer course in Olympia but did not make the second day of competition to officially place.
Rocha, meanwhile, was playing on the other side of the state at the Qualchan course in Spokane in the Class 4A boys tournament.
Rocha's first day round of 88 tied him for 95th place, but he also did not make the second day.
