Three golfers ready for state

Three Federal Way School District golfers are set to tee off Tuesday in three different state tournaments on three different courses.

Lyla Yesiltepe of Thomas Jefferson will be the first of the group to go, getting a 10:54 tee time on The Woodlands Hawks Prairie course in Lacey.

She is playing in the Class 3A girls state tournament, while fellow Raiders golfer Brandon Bao is playing in the Class 3A boys state tournament on the nearby Indian Summer course in Olympia.

Bao has a late tee time of 1:20 p.m.

Federal Way High School's Emmanuel Rocha, meanwhile, will be across the state in Spokane at the Qualchan course playing in the Class 4A boys tournament.

Rocha is set to tee off at 11:12 a.m.

The regular North Puget Sound League season and the qualifying tournament took place in the fall.
