Federal Way 2, Rogers 0
Federal Way rallied past Rogers in a Saturday afternoon home match to open the West Central District 3/4 playoffs.
The win kept the Eagles alive for at least another day in the Class 4A postseason picture, pitting them against North Puget Sound League rival Kentwood in another loser-out affair at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Art Crate Field next to Bethel High School in Graham.
If Federal Way gets past that match it will find itself in a double elimination situation, having to lose two straight to miss state.
The Eagles lost to the Conquerors, 3-1, during the regular season.
Stadium 2, TJ 0
Thomas Jefferson found itself in a more forgiving situation in its District 3/4 opener Saturday, coming in as a seeded team in double elimination.
The Raiders were the No. 1 Class 3A seed out of the mixed classification NPSL.
Stadium of Tacoma and the South Puget Sound League's 3A division came in and dealt TJ defeat No. 1, but the Raiders get a second chance Tuesday when they meet Bainbridge for a 5:30 p.m. battle at Mount Tahoma High School in Tacoma.
TJ would be back in double elimination if it can get past the Spartans.

TJ 13, Kennedy Catholic 9
The Raiders outslugged the Lancers of Burien in a regular season NPSL game played Thursday at the South County fields.
TJ concludes NPSL action with a 4 p.m. Tuesday visit to Kentwood before visiting Curtis for a non-league game at the same time Thursday. The Raiders open postseason play in Lacey the following week.
Kentwood 4, Decatur 0
Kentwood shut out the homestanding Gators in Thursday's battle for the regular season NPSL 4A championship.
The Gators visit Kent-Meridian for their NPSL finale at 4 p.m. Tuesday before going on to postseason action the following week at the Kent Service Fields.
Tahoma 25, Federal Way 12
The Eagles were defeated by the Bears in a Thursday slugfest.
They host Kentlake at 4 p.m. Tuesday as the regular NPSL season concludes.
Auburn Mountainview 22, Todd Beamer 2
The Lions battered the Titans in a Thursday NPSL game, with Todd Beamer hosting Auburn for a 4 p.m. Tuesday finale.
Mount Rainier 14, Federal Way 2
Federal Way fell again in a Friday makeup game.
