Eagles face do-or-die game

By Tim Clinton

Federal Way faces a do-or-die situation in the District 3/4 Class 4A boys soccer playoffs after taking a 4-3 loss to Sumner in overtime at Art Crate Field in Graham Thursday night.

The Eagles now must play Olympia in a 3 p.m. Saturday game at Franklin Pierce Stadium in Parkland, with the winner going on to state and the loser going home for the year.

State opening round games will take place Tuesday or Wednesday with opponents and locations based on seeding.

Sumner advances straight to state following Thursday's win over Federal Way and will not have to play again Saturday.
