Two Federal Way High School graduates are playing on the defensive side for Eagles of a different color this fall.
Instead of wearing the Federal Way Eagles' colors of blue and white, Jaylon Jenkins and Zamarie Tellez are now wearing the red and white uniforms of the Eastern Washington University Eagles football team.
Jenkins is starting at safety for the school in Cheney while Tellez is a backup corner back as a true freshman.
Jenkins finished second on the team with eight tackles Saturday in Eastern's 48-16 loss to the University of Washington at Husky Stadium.
Jenkins stands at 6-feet, 1-inch and weighs in at 196 pounds while Tellez is 5-9, 175.
