Same opponent, different result.
Soundview met Southeast Region champion Alabama for a second time in the Little League World Series on Tuesday and this time took a 4-2 loss after opening the tournament with a 2-0 win against it.
Tuesday's loss marked an end to the all-star baseball season for the Tacoma team that won the District 10 tournament in Federal Way, the Washington state tournament in Walla Walla and the Northwest Region tournament in San Bernardino to qualify for the World Series in Williamsport, Penn.
The action is for Majors players age 10-12.
After beating Alabama in its World Series opener, Soundview downed Southwest Region champion Texas by a 4-3 score before being blanked by the Mountain Region champion, 5-0, and losing Tuesday's rematch with Alabama.
