Soundview of Northeast Tacoma pulled within one win of getting to play for the state Little League Majors age 10-12 all-star baseball championship after shutting out Lake Stevens by an 11-0 score Thursday.
The win in Walla Walla advanced the team into the 6 p.m. Friday loser's bracket final where it will battle Richland.
Friday's winner advances to play Gig Harbor in the provisional championship scheduled for 9 a.m. Saturday and would need to win that game and another at 9 a.m. Sunday to take the title.
The champion would advance to upcoming regional action in San Bernardino, California.
Friday's loser comes in third in the state.
