Soundview Little League of Northeast Tacoma snagged the District 10 all-star age 9-11 tournament baseball championship with a victory over South Hill of Puyallup this past Wednesday.
The tournament took place at the Federal Way National complex.
Next up for Soundview is a trip over the Cascades and across the desert to the state tournament in Cheney.
Soundview opens the double elimination tournament with a 10 a.m. game Saturday, July 19 against the District 1 champion.
Soundview won all three of its District 10 tournament games, defeating Federal Way National and Chinook on the way to the final.
Soundview also advanced to the District 10 age 8-10 winner's bracket final Friday but took a loss to South Hill.
Soundview falls into Monday's 6 p.m. loser's bracket final, playing Bonney Lake/Sumner at the Sunset complex on Auburn's east hill.
The winner plays South Hill in Tuesday's 6 p.m. provisional championship and needs to win that game and a 6 p.m. Tuesday if-necessary game to take the title.
Federal Way National reached a Friday loser's bracket game and fell to Bonney Lake/Sumner after ousting Chinook of Enumclaw on Thursday.
