Seattle entertains the Minnesota Twins for a 7:10 p.m. game and fireworks show this Friday, ahead of a 4:15 p.m. Saturday contest and a 1:10 p.m. Sunday clash.

The Baltimore Orioles fly in to play 6:40 p.m. games Tuesday and Wednesday followed by 12:40 p.m. Thursday action.

All of the above games will be played at T-Mobile Park.

Mount Vernon 3, Decatur 1

Decatur gave No. 1-seeded and host Mount Vernon a battle Saturday evening but took a season-ending state Class 3A quarterfinal loss.

The Gators came into the state regional action as the No. 8 seed.

Decatur 5, North Thurston 0

The Gators opened state regionals by blanking North Thurston of Lacey in an early afternoon game Saturday at Sherman Anderson Field in Mount Vernon.

Boys golf

State Class 3A

Andrew Lettice of Federal Way finished in a four-way tie for 41st place in the tournament played Tuesday and Wednesday at the Creek at Qualchan Golf Course in Spokane.

He shot an 80 the first day and a 79 the second for a two day total of 159.

Aiden Bao of Thomas Jefferson took 62nd in the same tournament with an 80 and an 86 for a total of 166.

Alex Ie of TJ qualified for state but missed the first day cut to reach the second with an 87.

Decatur's Hudson Goretski also missed with a 91.

Girls golf

State Class 3A

Adrianna Ie of Thomas Jefferson played in the girls tournament at nearby Indian Canyon but missed the first day cut with a round of 108.

Decatur travels to Sherman Anderson Field in Mount Vernon to take on North Thurston in a 1 p.m. Saturday Class 3A state regional game.

The winner plays again shortly thereafter in a state quarterfinal on the same diamond.

Seattle visits the Houston Astros for 5;10 p.m. Friday action followed by a 1:10 p.m. Saturday game and an 11:10 a.m. contest Sunday.

Sports Wrap

Baseball

Decatur 8, Kelso 1

Decatur apparently wasn't about to pass on a second chance to go to state Saturday, blasting Kelso in a District 3/4 Class 3A playoff at Auburn-Riverside High School.

The Gators go on to the regional level of state next Saturday while the Highlanders of Southwest Washington went home for the year.

Decatur travels to Sherman Anderson in Mount Vernon for a 1 p.m. regional opener against North Thurston.  The winner plays a 4 p.m. game for a state semifinal berth and the loser is out.

The Gators come in as the No. 8 state seed and the Rams of Lacey as the No. 9 state seed.

Enumclaw 7, Decatur 6

Decatur missed a chance to qualify early Saturday, losing a close one to the Hornets.

That game was also played at Auburn-Riverside.

Fastpitch softball

Peninsula 8, Decatur 3

The Gators' season ended with the Saturday morning loss at the Regional Athletic Center in Lacey.

Decatur 10, North Thurston 7

Decatur outslugged North Thurston on Thursday evening in its second game at the District 3/4 Class 3A tournament.

Gig Harbor 16, Decatur 9

The Tides overwhelmed the Gators in a District 3/4 opener Thursday afternoon.

River Ridge 12, Federal Way 8

Federal Way took a season-ending loss at the same tournament Thursday evening.

Prairie 18, Federal Way 6

The Eagles were pounded by Prairie in their Thursday afternoon opener.

Decatur stayed alive and well in the District 3/4 Class 3A playoffs with Wednesday's loser-out win over the Eagles on the Federal Way diamond.

The Gators will now have two chances to capture a state regional berth Saturday.

Their first opportunity comes in a 10 a.m. game against Enumclaw at Auburn-Riverside.

The winner advances to state regionals, while the loser gets a second chance in a 4 p.m. contest at Auburn-Riverside.

Federal Way 1, Silas 0

The Eagles shut out Silas in a road game Tuesday to advance to Wednesday's battle against Decatur.

Peninsula 6, Decatur 5

Peninsula outlasted the Gators in a winner to state contest played Tuesday evening at Auburn.

Bellarmine 2, TJ 0

Bellarmine blanked host Thomas Jefferson on Tuesday to end the Raiders' season.

Boys soccer

Kent-Meridian 2, Federal Way 1

The Eagles' season ended with Tuesday's loss to the Royals at Harry Lang Stadium in Lakewood.

Auburn Mountainview 5, Decatur 1

Decatur was dealt out of the postseason with a defeat in Tuesday's second match played at Harry Lang.

Fastpitch softball

Stadium 13, Federal Way 3

Stadium stomped on the visiting Eagles in a non-league crossover game played Monday.

Federal Way opened District 3/4 action with a decisive victory at home Saturday.

The Eagles return to action Tuesday, taking on Kent-Meridian in a 5:30 p.m. match at Harry Lang Stadium next to Clover Park High School in Lakewood.

The winner plays for a state berth at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Auburn Memorial.

Decatur 1, North Thurston 0

Decatur journeyed to Lacey for its opener Saturday and came away as a winner by shutout.

The Gators face an opponent to be determined at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Harry Lang with the winner playing the Federal Way vs. Kent-Meridian winner for a state berth at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Auburn Memorial.

The Eagles played the Royals to a tie in their regular season finale Tuesday.
