Boys basketball
Todd Beamer opens state Class 3A action in the Tacoma Dome Wednesday, taking on Mountlake Terrace in a 12:15 p.m. game
Federal Way plays on the same floor at 3:45 p.m., battling Skyview in a Class 4A game.
For those who want to stay for both games, nearby Auburn plays Lincoln of Tacoma in between at 2 p.m.
All of the Wednesday games are loser out with the winners playing in state quarterfinals at the same starting times Thursday.
The tournaments last through placement games on Saturday.
Pros
Mariners
Seattle hosts Kansas City for a 12:10 p.m. Wednesday game in Peoria, Ariz. and entertains the Chicago White Sox at the same time and place Thursday.
The Mariners visit Colorado at the same time Friday before hosting Oakland back in Peoria at the same time Saturday.
Seattle visits San Diego at 12:10 p.m. Sunday before splitting its team Tuesday, with one group visiting Cleveland at 12:05 p.m. and the other hosting Texas at 12:10 p.m.
Friday's action will be televised on ROOT Sports Northwest.

Seattle plays its home opener Saturday, entertaining Austin for a 7:30 p.m. match at Lumen Field
Apple TV+ will show the action live.
Kraken
Seattle hosts Pittsburgh at 7 p.m. Thursday and Edmonton at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Climate Pledge Arena.
The Kraken hit the road to Calgary for 6:30 p.m. Monday action before visiting Winnipeg at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
ROOT is carrying all four games.

Seattle visits the Kamloops Blazers for 7 p.m. Friday action before hosting Moose Jaw at 6:05 p.m. Saturday at the Showare Center in Kent.
The Thunderbirds go to Vancouver at 4 p.m. Sunday.

Everett entertains Moose Jaw at 7:05 p.m. Friday and Regina at 6:05 p.m. Saturday.

Tacoma's indoor soccer team hosts the Harrisburg Heat at 5:05 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Showare Center in Kent.

Husky men
Washington hosts UCLA for a 7:30 p.m. Thursday game and USC at 1 p.m. Saturday.
Thursday's action can be seen on Fox Sports 1 and Saturday's on Channel 7.
Cougar men
USC comes to the Palouse at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and UCLA at 6 p.m. Saturday with both on the Pac-12 network.
Husky women
The UW visits Colorado at 6 p.m. Thursday and Utah at 11 a.m. Saturday with both aired on Pac-12WA.
Cougar women
Washington State goes to Utah for 2 p.m. Thursday action before visiting Colorado at noon Saturday with both games on the Pac-12 network.
Husky baseball
Washington is hosting Santa Clara for 6 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday games.
Husky softball
The Huskies are in Eugene, Ore. playing Mount St. Mary's at 10 a.m. Thursday and Maryland at 12:30 p.m. Thursday.
