The Seattle men's soccer team hosts Santos Laguna for 7:30 p.m. Sunday action at Lumen Field.

Storm

Richland outslugs Soundview

It only took one game to settle the issue as Soundview of Northeast Tacoma battled Richland North for the state age 9-11 Little League baseball all-star championship in Saturday morning action.

Richland North slugged its way to a 9-1 victory, ending the action since the Eastern Washington entry was the undefeated team.

Richland North topped Soundview, 3-0, in the winner's bracket final Thursday, but Soundview earned a rematch with an 8-3 loser's bracket final win over Snohomish on Friday.

Soundview finished with a 4-2 record in the tournament played at Salnave Park in Cheney.

Soundview bounces back

Soundview slammed Snohomish by an 8-3 score Friday in the loser's bracket final of the state age 9-11 Little League all-star baseball tournament.

The team from Northeast Tacoma earned a 10 a.m. Saturday championship rematch against Richland North at Salnave Park in Cheney.

Richland North blanked Soundview, 3-0, in Thursday's winner's bracket final, so Soundview must win two straight games to take the title 

A Saturday morning win by Soundview would force the if-necessary game for all the marbles at 3 p.m.

 

Soundview takes a loss

Soundview is undefeated no more at the age 9-11 state Little League baseball all-star tournament.

The team from Northeast Tacoma took a 3-0 loss to Richland North in the winner's bracket final Thursday, dumping it into a 5 p.m. Friday loser's bracket final at Salnave Park in Cheney.

The winner plays Richland North for the state championship starting at 10 a.m. Saturday needing two wins in a row to capture the title.

Soundview 11s advance

Soundview Little League of Northeast Tacoma has slammed its way all the way into the winner's bracket final of the state age 9-11 all-star baseball tournament.

Soundview plays that game at 6 p.m. Thursday on the Salnave Park diamond in Cheney, with the winner advancing to championship action starting at 10 a.m. Saturday.

The team opened with a 3-2 win over Snohomish last Saturday and beat Larch Mountain by a 7-3 score Sunday before stomping on Sammamish, 9-1, Tuesday to reach Thursday's game.

Seattle hosts the Houston Astros for a 7:10 p.m. Friday game at T-Mobile Park ahead of 6:40 p.m. Saturday and 1:10 p.m. Sunday action.

Next up for the Mariners will be three home games against the Milwaukee Brewers with 6:40 p.m. starts Monday and Tuesday and a 12:40 p.m. start Wednesday.

Seattle visits the Los Angeles Angels at 6:38 p.m. Thursday.

Storm

Seattle has this weekend off for the 5:30 p.m. Saturday Women's National Basketball Association All-Star game in Indianapolis before hosting the Dallas Wings for a 7 p.m. Tuesday clash at the Climate Pledge Arena.

Mill Creek edges out National

Mill Creek edged Federal Way National, 3-2, Friday in State Majors all-star softball Little League tournament loser's bracket final action.

The loss left the tournament host Federal Way team out of Saturday's championship action for ages 10-12.

Mill Creek went on to beat previously undefeated Magnolia twice to take the title with game scores of 4-3 and 11-1.

National had opened the tournament with a 9-1 victory over Mill Creek and a 14-1 rout of Anacortes before taking a 5-0 defeat at the hands of Magnolia in Thursday's winner's bracket final.

Magnolia shuts out National

Magnolia of Seattle managed to shut down the potent bats of Federal Way National in a 5-0 winner's bracket final game of the state Major Little League softball tournament for ages 10-12 played Thursday.

National, which is hosting the tournament at its complex near the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way, falls into a 6 p.m. Friday loser's bracket final against Mill Creek.

Mill Creek was a 15-0 winner over Seattle Central in a Thursday loser's bracket game.

Friday's winner must beat Magnolia twice in Saturday championship play to win the double-elimination tournament.

The provisional championship starts at noon Saturday with any if-necessary game to be played at 3 p.m.

Federal Way National opened with a 9-1 victory over Mill Creek this past Sunday before pounding Anacortes, 14-1, Tuesday.

Federal Way National is very much alive in the state Major all-star tournament for ages 10-12 it is hosting at its own complex.

The loser's bracket final takes place at 6 p.m. Friday followed by the provisional championship at noon Saturday with any if-necessary game at 3 p.m.

Pros

Mariners

Seattle goes to Detroit to play the Tigers at 4:10 p.m. Friday, 10:10 a.m. Saturday and 10:40 a.m. Sunday before taking a four day All-Star break.

Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh participates in the Home Run Derby starting at 5 p.m. Monday and he was voted in to start in the actual All-Star game at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Other Seattle players participating in the game in Atlanta are starting pitcher Bryan Woo, relief pitcher Andres Munoz and center fielder Julio Rodriguez.

Sounders

Seattle visits the Sporting Kansas City team for 5:30 p.m. Saturday men's soccer action before coming home to Lumen Field to battle Colorado at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Storm

The Seattle women's basketball team entertains the Connecticut Sun for a 7 p.m. Friday game at the Climate Pledge Arena.

Washington's Mystics visit at. 3 p.m. Sunday and the Golden State Valkyries come to town at noon Wednesday.

Rainiers

Tacoma visits the Reno Aces at 6:35 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 1:05 p.m. Sunday before taking a four day All-Star break along with the Mariners.

Aquasox

Everett is on the road in the Tri-Cities for games at 7:05 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 1:30 p.m. Sunday.

The Aquasox take a four day break after that as well.


National reaches winner's final

Federal Way National finds itself playing in the winner's bracket final of the state Major Little League softball all-star tournament following Tuesday's 14-1 victory over Anacortes.

National will be back at its home complex playing also undefeated Magnolia of Seattle at 6 p.m. Thursday.

The winner jumps into the driver's seat of the tournament, needing to be defeated twice in championship play Saturday to be unseated.

The loser falls into Friday's 6 p.m. loser's bracket final.

Saturday's provisional championship game starts at noon back at Federal Way National with any if necessary second game following at 3 p.m.

National opened the tournament with a 9-1 win over Mill Creek this past Sunday.

The Majors tournament is for ages 10-12.

Soundview secures championship

Soundview Little League of Northeast Tacoma snagged the District 10 all-star age 9-11 tournament baseball championship with a victory over South Hill of Puyallup this past Wednesday.

The tournament took place at the Federal Way National complex.

Next up for Soundview is a trip over the Cascades and across the desert to the state tournament in Cheney.

Soundview opens the double elimination tournament with a 10 a.m. game Saturday, July 19 against the District 1 champion.

Soundview won all three of its District 10 tournament games, defeating Federal Way National and Chinook on the way to the final.

Soundview also advanced to the District 10 age 8-10 winner's bracket final Friday but took a loss to South Hill.

Soundview falls into Monday's 6 p.m. loser's bracket final, playing Bonney Lake/Sumner at the Sunset complex on Auburn's east hill.

The winner plays South Hill in Tuesday's 6 p.m. provisional championship and needs to win that game and a 6 p.m. Tuesday if-necessary game to take the title.

Federal Way National reached a Friday loser's bracket game and fell to Bonney Lake/Sumner after ousting Chinook of Enumclaw on Thursday.

The age 8-10 District 10 all-star tournament continues Friday at the Sunset complex on the east hill of Auburn.

Soundview of Northeast Tacoma plays South Hill of Puyallup in the winner's bracket final at 10 a.m. Friday followed by a loser's bracket game at 12:30 p.m.

The loser's bracket final is scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday followed by the provisional championship at 6 p.m. Tuesday and any if-necessary game at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Softball

Little League

Federal Way National opens the state Majors all-star tournament for ages 10-12 at 3 p.m. Saturday at its own complex.

The tournament runs through Saturday, July 12 with the provisional championship at noon and the if-necessary game at 3 p.m.

Seattle hosts the Pittsburgh Pirates for a 1:10 p.m. Friday game at T-Mobile Park followed by 7:10 p.m. Saturday and 1:10 p.m. Sunday action.

The Mariners travel to New York to play the Yankees at 4:05 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Seattle entertains Columbus for a 2 p.m. Sunday match at Lumen Field.

Storm

Seattle travels to New York to play the Liberty team at 10 a.m. Sunday before dropping in on the Connecticut Sun at 8 a.m. Wednesday.
