Federal Way senior Cassandra Atkins jumped her way to two titles in the Class 4A portion of the state track and field meet that took place Thursday through Saturday at Mount Tahoma High School in Tacoma.
Atkins won the long jump Thursday with an effort of 19 feet, 9.75 inches and followed that up with a triple jump title Friday at 39-9.25.
And she wasn't done yet.
Atkins also took third place in the 200-meter dash on Saturday in a time of 25.35 seconds.
Also earning his way onto the top spot on the awards stand at the meet was Federal Way teammate Geron White.
White won the boys Class 4A high jump title at 6-6.
White was also fourth in the triple jump at 44-1 and 13th in the javelin throw at a distance of 141-10.
Keith Rogers Jr. of Todd Beamer snagged sixth place in the 3A boys 300 hurdles with a time of 40.70.
Federal Way placed eighth in the boys 400-meter relay with a 43.09 clocking.
Decatur's Mariah Siva was eighth in the 4A girls shot put at 37-3.
Shane Kang of Thomas Jefferson notched ninth in the 3A boys javelin finals at 155-2 and Kia Taylor of TJ took 10th in the girls shot put at 35-0.25.
Adam Thomas of TJ finished 11th in the boys triple jump at 42-0.25.
Jazlyn Jones of Federal Way tied for 13th in the 4A girls pole vault at 10-6 and Sam Wah of the Eagles finished 14th in the boys long jump at 19-10.
Federal Way's Jason Page placed 16th in the boys discus for 4A at 107-11.
The Federal Way girls took ninth as a team with 26 points.
