Swimming and Diving
The King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way will once again host state girls swimming and diving competition for all classifications.
Diving takes place Thursday, with the 3A action starting off the day at 8:30 a.m.
The 4A follows at 1 p.m. and the 1A/2A athletes go at it starting at 5:30 p.m.
The 4A field includes Decatur's Amaya Johnson, who ranks 20th going in with her best score of 233.95 points
Thomas Jefferson is sending one individual and one relay team to 3A swimming, which gets underway at 8:45 a.m. Friday.
Emma Calin of the Raiders ranks 16th in the 100-yard breaststroke with her best time of 1 minute, 11.04 seconds
She joins Fiona Policarpio, Sam Kahn and Erin Bae on a 400 free relay team that ranks 22nd at 4:03.99.
The 4A swimming begins at 1:30 p.m. with no area participants and 1A/2A action gets underway at 6:15 p.m.
Finals and consolation finals start with the 3A at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, with the 4A at 1:15 p.m. and the 1A/2A at 6 p.m.
Volleyball
Todd Beamer opens 3A West Central District tournament action Friday, playing Auburn-Riverside in a noon match at Mount Tahoma High School.
Football
Federal Way School District teams have seen their seasons come to an end, including two who were involved in playoffs last week.
Woodinville edged Decatur out by a 13-6 score Friday as Federal Way took a 56-7 loss at Camas.
Pros
Seahawks
Seattle entertains the Washington Commanders for 1:25 p.m. Sunday action at Lumen Field that can be seen on Channel 13.
Sounders
Seattle plays the third and deciding match of its playoff series against Dallas at 7 p.m. Friday on Apple TV+.
The action takes place at Lumen Field.
Kraken
Seattle drops in on the Colorado Avalanche for a 6 p.m. Thursday hockey game before coming home to the Climate Pledge Arena to face off against Edmonton at 7 p.m. Saturday.
Colorado comes to town at 7 p.m. Monday and the Kraken visit Edmonton at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
ROOT Sports Northwest will carry all of the action live and Saturday's game can also be seen on CBUT.
OL Reign
The Seattle-based team plays Gotham FC for the National Women's Soccer League title at 5 p.m. Saturday in San Diego with Channel 7 showing the match live.
Thunderbirds
Seattle's Western Hockey League squad visits Victoria at 7:05 p.m. Friday before turning around to host it at 6:05 p.m. Saturday at the Showare Center in Kent.
Silvertips
Everett entertains Kelowna at 7:05 p.m. Friday and hosts Vancouver at 6:05 p.m. Saturday at the Angel of the Winds Arena.
Colleges
Husky football
Washington has another big game ahead Saturday when it gets a 12:30 p.m. visit from Utah at Husky Stadium.
The Huskies are 9-0 going into the action to be broadcast on Channel 13.
Cougar football
Washington State travels to Berkeley to battle California at 1 p.m. Saturday on ESPN2.
Husky volleyball
The UW entertains USC at 7 p.m. Friday and UCLA at 1 p.m. Sunday.
Husky men
Washington hosts Northern Kentucky at 8 p.m. Thursday and Nevada at 7 p.m. Sunday with both games carried on the Pac-12 network.
Cougar men
Prairie View shows up in the Palouse for a 7 p.m. Friday game on Pac-12WA.
Husky women
The UW is scheduled for a 5 p.m. Thursday home game against North Carolina Central before getting a visit from Pacific at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Cougar women
Washington State hosts Gonzaga at 7 p.m. Thursday and Idaho State at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
The Cougars go to Missoula to play Montana at 6 p.m. Tuesday on ESPN2.
